About Jodi

Jodi graduated with distinctions in Homeopathy and studied extensively at the Durban University of Technology in South Africa.
After completing her Research she qualified with a Master’s Degree in Homeopathy.

Homeopathic training in South Africa is based upon the medical curriculum with Homoeopathy as the primary therapeutic focus.

"Homeopathic practitioners are trained diagnosticians, recognised as primary contact practitioners. It should be noted that, whereas the vast majority of international Homeopathic schools offer skills-oriented Homeopathic training, South Africa offers professional training at a level required for the practising of Homeopathy as a primary contact health profession in accordance with the scope of practice of such a profession." Jodi has a deep passion for Anatomy & Pathophysiology and when she is not in clinic, she enjoys lecturing and getting people excited about learning. Jodi has lectured at the College of Practical Homeopathy (CPH), the well known Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) and is currently the Director of Homeopathy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and is also a long-standing and well respected Senior Lecturer in Biomedicine, Naturopathy and Homeopathy.

Jodi uses her knowledge and skills gained from over a decade of clinical experience, to bring about a patient-centered, naturopathic & homeopathic approach, that is adapted and specific to the individual, not just their signs and symptoms cluster.

Why I became a Homeopath

"I became a homeopath due to the very personal interest in mental illness, and from a young age observed the very many failings of allopathic (psychiatric) medicine in diagnosing, supporting and treating these 'disorders'.

It was from this that my deep interest and need to find an alternative/complementary modality for achieving and maintaining health, more specifically mental health, that began my journey in 2002. I started the first chapter of my journey in the study of Human Physiology and Homeopathic Medicine. During this time and as well as after completion of my Masters, I then further continued my studies in Naturopathy, Homotoxicology and Mesotherapy.

I have a deep and loyal passion for the Sciences and the Art of Homeopathy. Despite common misunderstanding, Science and Homeopathy are intimately connected - we are only now beginning to develop the tools advanced enough to evaluate this connection. And so my journey continues..."
